Dear friends,
There’s the incremental climate change we’re causing and confronting year after grinding year, summer after sweltering summer. But there’s also another kind, one that looks less like gradual worsening and more like tipping a wagon. Once you push it too far, the thing starts moving forward by its own logic and momentum, and pretty soon it’s all sideways.
I tried to compress a whole lot of knotty, technical, uncertain science on these climate tipping points into my recent explainer, which was illustrated beautifully by my colleague Mira. The whole thing is short enough to read over a coffee break. It might even give you a different kind of jolt.

Great writing per usual and I greatly enjoyed the graphics. Do you have any recommendations on further readings that focus on the consequences of these tipping points actualizing?
