NYT: 'there is nothing natural about the Netherlands'
Dear friends,
The Dutch have spent centuries devising ways of keeping water out of their low-lying, perpetually waterlogged country. As Europe experienced another summer of record heat and dryness, I crisscrossed the Netherlands to see how the country is re-engineering itself to keep more of that water in.
