Dear friends,

My colleagues and I published a story on Saturday about China’s huge investments in fusion energy and how they compare with the private fusion boom in the U.S. The two countries don’t agree on much these days when it comes to energy. They both see enormous potential in fusion, though their strategies for conquering it are very different.

(Elon Musk thinks it’s all a giant waste and said as much once again on Sunday, a day after our article was published. Coincidence? You decide.)
